Chapter 6

This chapter made me so hungry! I love pasta, salami, cheese etc... I never knew that salt was in cheese, it is weird how so many different foods use salt as a main ingredient. It is completely horrible that the Italians tied prisoners to a wheel by their heads and made them walk on it. That is just pure torture.

I never knew that ham was so touchy. I thought it was just a simple process, but I guess I thought wrong. I like the Patina's opinion when it comes to cheese, I think that moldy cheese is disgusting. I also think it should be considered bad for the body. I never heard before that cheese could help with spitting up blood. I wonder if it works or not? Who would have thought that made cheese was such hard work. I always knew that the French and Romans made a lot of different cheeses, but I didn't know it was so complicated.

Guess what? Salami is another word that derives from salt, does it ever stop? I could not imagine our world with out butter. I can't believe they considered it a delicacy.

The Genoese people were very smart along with the Romans and Chinese and so many others. Salt is definitely a great substance in this world. I don't know where the world would have been with out the discovery of salt.

Wow. That chapter made you hungry? It made me never ever want to eat salami again. But to each their own :) And they did have a lot of cheese in this chapter. I think I should go to college to be a cheese master. That would pwn. People would ask me what I do for a living and I would say that I probe cheese with "knowing fingers." LOLOLOLOL

Don't you just love that cheese, I do. It was interesting to learn the origin of so many cheeses. Oh, don't even get me started on that salami. After reading this chapter it was time for me to get some grilled cheese and it is all due to salt.

I think those people needed to get their priorities straight. I mean they thought salt was a god and would all queer about eating ham and cheese and butter. Butter is not a delicacy..its what I put on my toast in the morning that costs $3.46 at friedmans. I'm not a big fan of cheese because like steph said it is mold and its gooing and smelly. I think eventually poeple would find salt because its everywhere and these chinese/romans took it a little too far.

..and my word verification is ovulas which is almost like ovaries. this computer is a perv

Pasta is good food. I liked the part about the different cheeses and where they originated from. Ex. Parma (Parmesan) Italy.

Ah yes, the terrible "cheese wheel" as a form of punishment. Much like a hamster type opperation no? It would be a terrible fate no doubt.

Good cheese obserations. Salami (Sal) shows up and yes it is freaky just how many names of food and items have to do with Salt. Makes you think doesn't it?

Nice job with the blog. You made some great connections with this assignment.
