Three Cups of Tea Overview

Three cups of Tea was an exceptional book and I truly liked it. It opened my eyes up to so many things. I never knew much about the Middle East besides the fact that we are at war with them and this book made me look at them in a new perspective. Gregg is truly doing a selfless thing in Pakistan and hopefully someday I can do something as selfless.

I truly admire Gregg for his determination and spirit. There is no way that I could have gone over there and gone through the things he has been through. I was so scared when he got captured while he was over there. Thinking how scared I was from just reading I can just imagine how scared he must have been to be the one captive. I can not fathom how he was able to make himself not want to never go back after this happened. It was amazing how he was able to learn so much about the Pakistani culture in so little time. It is great how one person has been able to open up the world's eyes the lack of education for children in other countries. I was surprised to see that not everyone in the world is getting free education like the kids in the United States.

I am so glad that Gregg was able to meet people like Hajji Ali while he was in Pakistan. Gregg also met some bad people I can not believe that the one person took some of Mortenson's supplies. You think that all the people in Pakistan would have loved the fact that he was willing to educate their children. I am so glad that we got to read this book. I hope Gregg never stops building schools he is definitely an exceptional man. I am very excited about the fact that our class is going to raise money for his charity. It is great to know that we can make such an impact on another child's life.
